Municipal Consent Application

As outlined in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood Municipal Consent Guideline, the purpose of this application is to request the consent to perform work within a specifiic location in the Township of Asphodel-Norwood's right-of-way. The process involves a formal submission of drawings on the placement of apparatus which has been approved by the Township of Asphodel-Norwood’s Public Works Department. Consent is accorded to individually considered, low impact, limited deviations from the primary usage of the land or buildings.

By submitting this application, the Applicant agrees that all work has been designed in accordance with sound engineering practices and full consideration has been given to all existing utilities, services, and the safety and protection of the public, in the design of this infrastructure and all its related structures. The applicant also agrees that no changes or deviations from the approved plan(s) will be made except with the consent and approval of the Manager of Public Works, and agrees to submit as-built records.

The approval of a Municipal Consent is valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. If the work is not completed in its entirety within the 12-month period, the Applicant must reapply for Municipal Consent in order to complete any outstanding works within the right-of-way.
